Look for a healthcare provider who will respect you and work to understand your family\u2019s needs. You can ask other parents, neighbors and friends about their providers.<\/p>\n

Your insurance plan has listings of providers who take your insurance. These are usually on the plan website. You can search for doctors near you, or by the kind of doctor you want to see. You can also find out if the doctor can take new patients.<\/p>\n

How to Afford Health Care<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Health insurance is available for low or no cost. AHCCCS<\/a> is health insurance for people with low incomes. Even if you do not qualify for AHCCCS, your children may qualify for KidsCare<\/a>. You can find out about buying health insurance at reduced cost at Cover Arizona<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Community Health Centers<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Community health centers offer low-cost health care for children and adults. Services can include vaccines, dental care, mental health care and testing and treatment for many diseases. Community clinics take most kinds of health insurance, including AHCCCS. If you need to pay cash for visits because you don\u2019t have health insurance, you may qualify for a reduced fee based on your income (\u201csliding fee\u201d). If you have to make an important decision, take time to think about it first.
